Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes announced their Board of Directors for the 2012-2013 season and some familiar names are back in the fold.

The 27^th Annual General Meeting of the Shareholders was held Monday night at the Holiday Inn with six people (Dick Gibson, David Gurr, Brian McNaughton, Dave Olson, Doug Paisley, Nick Polychronopoulos) putting their name in for the vacant Board positions a few weeks ago. Another five names were added as nominations from the floor: former Lethbridge Mayor Bob Tarleck, Pat Shimbashi, LMHA President Keith Hitchcock, Glen Bright and past Board Member Garry Saloff.

Dick Gibson, Pat Shimbashi and Dave Olson were re-elected and they were joined by newcomers Doug Paisley and Hurricanes alum Nick Polychronopoulos. All five earn three-year terms on the board while the final member is former Board President Brian McNaughton who received a one-year term.

The 2012-2013 Board of Directors also includes Herb Beswick, Duane Ptycia, Kelly Shigehiro, Brian Wichers, Randy Joevenazzo, Brad Cook, Adele Barrington, Jim Whittaker and Rick Braden.

The new Board of Directors will meet in the coming weeks to discuss immediate issues such as the selection of a new President and committee chairs - results of this will appear on www.lethbridgehurricanes.com
