Canes vs. Blazers - Game Day Preview
 

The number one team in the WHL and CHL make their first of two trips to the ENMAX Centre this season as the Kamloops Blazers visit Lethbridge tonight. The Hurricanes are coming off their best game of the season in which 6 different goal scorers led the team to a win over Brandon, while Kamloops is coming off a hard fought 5-4 Shootout win over the Edmonton Oil Kings Wednesday. The Hurricanes currently sit 5th in the East Conference with a record of 4-6-0-0 and they are 11th in the Conference while the Blazers are tops overall at 10-0-0-1.

The Hurricanes are led by Russ Maxwell who has 9 points in 10 games while JC Lipon of the Blazers (who is the WHL and CHL player of the Week for the 2nd straight week) has 27 points (11G, 16A) in 11 games. Last season the team met out west with the Blazers winning both games by scores of 7-4 (October 21st) and 3-0 (January 18th)  Russ Maxwell had a goal against Kamloops last year, while Jay Merkley and Graham Hood added assists.
