The Lethbridge Hurricanes are facing the Regina Pats for the first time in the 2012 season and it’s the first of four meetings this year. The Canes enter tonight’s game coming of a split of their two game mini road swing through Saskatchewan where they shutout Swift Current 4-0 and dropped a 3-2 decision to Moose Jaw. The Hurricanes and Pats have identical 6-7-1-0 records, but that puts the Canes a Central Division standing of 4th while the Pats are 5th in the East and the teams currently lock down the 8th and 9th spots in the Conference respectively.
In 2011-2012, the Hurricanes and Pats played 4 times with Regina winning the first two games and the Hurricanes closed out the season series with a 3-2 win on February 4th and a 6-4 win on February 17th.
