Lethbridge, AB - Bring out the Hammers! Finning Canada Hosts the 1^st annual car crushing Extravaganza! In partnership with All-In Crushing, Finning Canada and the Lethbridge Hurricanes, the community is invited to participate in this unique community fundraiser on October 11^th, 2012 from 4:30 – 6:30pm at Finning (4204 – 5^th Ave. North Lethbridge.)

Attendees are invited to join forces and help raise money for the United Way Community Fund. For one dollar a minute you can help smash poverty. 10 cars and demolition tools will be provided by Finning and All-In Crushing includingHammers,CAT machines and compactors. Raffle tickets will be sold for the privilege of pushing the button on the ‘final crush’ where each vehicle will be Flattened in an awe-inspiring feat of machinery.

Hurricanes Fans will be able to meet and interact with their favorite Hurricanes players who will join in on the fun alongside individuals who participate in the hands on demolition.

This fundraiser is part of series of events taken on by United Ways supporters during our annual campaign. Many local business kick off their annual giving campaign with events that helps provide critical funding to over 21 local non-profits.

“Events like these are great because they inspire individual community involvement and allow us the opportunity to talk with people about how they can make a huge difference in our community through supporting the United Way” says Jeff McLarty, Executive Director adding “It’s awesome to see so many great people and business’ get on board with a vision to support the community.”
