Ty Rimmer receives nomination

Lethbridge, AB - The Western Hockey League is recognizing Lethbridge Hurricanes Goalie Ty Rimmer as they've nominated him for the CHL Goaltender of the Week.

Rimmer has started all 16 games the Hurricanes have played this season and this past week, the 20-year old veteran netminder posted a 3-1-0-0 record with one shutout in which he made 37 saves.

In the 4 games played this week, the native of Edmonton, AB stopped 119 of 124 shots faced for a 0.960 save-percentage and 1.25 goals-against average and on Friday night against Regina, his 10th save in that game gave him 500 saves on the season making him the first goalie in the entire CHL to reach the 500 save milestone.

Rimmer currently sits 3rd among all WHL goaltenders with a 0.921 save-percentage.
