Duke finished 4th in scoring on Team Pacific, playing in all five games and finishing with 5 points (2G, 3A) helping Team Pacific to a fifth place standing in the tournament.

Olynek, the Hurricanes 2nd round (25th overall) pick in the 2011 Bantam Draft finished first in scoring for Team West as he registered 4 points (3G, 1A) in five games. Pilon, who was named Captain of Team West, finished third in scoring with a pair of assists in the five games played as the West finished ninth in the tournament.

Sweden took home the gold, Russia silver and the USA finished with the bronze in this year’s U-17 Hockey Challenge.

Pilon and Duke are expected to rejoin the Hurricanes in time for Sunday’s game against the Moose Jaw Warriors at 6:00pm at the ENMAX Centre, while Olynek rejoins his Saskatoon Contacts in the Saskatchewan Midget Triple A Hockey League. The Contacts are not back to action until January 9th when they visit Regina. Olynek leads the SMAAAHL and the Contacts with 53 points (23G, 30A) in just 23 games.
